Peake Perennials Newsletter 26 April 2024

Hello Visitor

Mapperton Cancelled

We are sorry to announce that the Charity Plant Fair at Mapperton this Sunday 20th September has been cancelled by the organisers. It would seem that the latest Government Covid regulations appears to have tipped the balance the wrong way.

This is very disappointing for us as we had a brilliant day at Athlehampton this past Sunday.

We are sorry if you have already bought tickets but they are allowing ticket holders free entry to the gardens, the house remains closed but the cafe is open. They should be contacting ticket holders in person to see whether they still want to visit or have a refund.

You can read more here... on their website.

This was due to be our last event for the 2020 season and currently there are no plans for any other events, should this change you’ll be the first to hear.  It has been a hard year in many ways but here at Peake Perennials we remain optimistic and are looking forward to what will hopefully be a relatively normal 2021 season, we certainly can’t wait to be back out there catching up with all our event friends.

In the meantime, the Nursery remains open and the weather looks set fair for a while yet so why not treat yourselves to a jaunt into the lovely Dorset countryside and come and see our full range, the ornamental grasses and late flowering perennials are looking great and we’ve a selection of spring flowering bulbs too.

If you can’t manage a visit don’t forget you can view and download our Plant List and by visiting the Online Shop you can see what's left in stock and purchase.

This year's opening hours:

  • Wednesday – Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 10am – 4pm.
But do please feel free to just call or drop us a line anytime.

Helen
